If your mobile network provider tells you that your monthly contract is "eligible for upgrade" but then hits you with another just-to-make-sure credit check during checkout, shouldn't they just say "eligible to apply for an upgrade" instead?
I mean, I get that they might need to run an up-to-date credit check. It's their prerogative, and I'm absolutely at peace with that. They might even remind you about the possibility of that extra check before you hit 'place order'.
Still, the point stands. There's a difference between "eligible" and "eligible to apply." Or is it just me being picky?
